Kingkraft, the Sheffield manufacturer of specialist accessible bathing and changing equipment, has been acquired by Dale Campbell and his son Brinley Campbell. The business continues to trade as Kingkraft from its Sheffield site, with all existing employees, product ranges and customer arrangements in place.
Kingkraft has been designing and building height adjustable baths, shower trolleys and changing equipment for over 40 years. Its bath ranges are specified for schools, care settings, healthcare environments and private homes across the UK.
Dale Campbell takes the role of Managing Director, bringing more than 25 years in the accessible equipment industry. He and Brinley previously worked together in the family-owned business behind Wealden Rehab and CareSpaces. Brinley Campbell joins as Operations Director.
"Kingkraft has spent four decades earning its reputation, and that is not something you arrive and start rewriting," said Dale Campbell, Managing Director. "The team, the products, and the standards stay exactly as they are. What we bring is industry experience and a clear commitment to keeping manufacturing here in Yorkshire."
The new owners plan to invest in product development, quoting and customer support, with the aim of making Kingkraft the most straightforward specialist manufacturer in the sector to work with.
"There is a lot we are now implementing to make Kingkraft easier to work with," said Brinley Campbell, Operations Director. "Faster quotes, clearer product information and better support for the specifiers and dealers who rely on us. That is where the early investment goes."
The company also intends to bring more young people into its Sheffield workshop over time, addressing a skills gap the wider manufacturing sector has faced for years.
Existing warranties, service arrangements and supply agreements are unaffected. Customers, specifiers and dealers should continue to use their usual Kingkraft contacts.
